1:2 Working Model

We are in the process of making a 1:2 larger scale model to test our mechanism and also to give us an idea of the working process required to make a large model.

Sound

As an addition to our major feature of motion, we have started to explore other sensors to make our tower better convey the idea of kinetic energy transfer. These are some example looking at scraping and scratching.

Bearings

In order to make our layers spin around, with the least friction possible, we are exploring using bearings for each layer to run along and create our desired motion.

These are skateboard bearings but could easily be adapted to fit into our mechanism.
